FLINT- Youth Leadership Genesee, a program of Resource Genesee, was honored by Priority Children and received its award for outstanding business, organization or community initiative that offers, supports or provides volunteerism/service opportunities for youth.

The award was presented to Youth Leadership Genesee coordinator, Jim Ananich, at Priority Children's 16th annual Children's Champion Awards Breakfast which was held at the Riverfront Residence Inn in downtown Flint.

Some 800 people attended, the largest turnout ever for the event which honors those in the community who make children a priority.

Youth Leadership Genesee provides leadership training, volunteer opportunities and a chance for 9th-12th grade students from schools across Genesee County to learn more about the community service, government and more.
