FLINT, MI -- Resource Genesee has received a grant in the amount of $5,000 from the General Motors Foundation.
GM Foundation officials announced nine grants last week during Back to the Bricks. The grants totaled $75,000 and were awarded to area non-profit organizations.
At the Foundation’s request, this grant will be earmarked to support our programming at the One Stop Housing Resource Center. One Stop serves the homeless and near homeless of Genesee County.
Resource Genesee's president & CEO, Dale Weighill, gives special thanks to the director of the One Stop, Frank Woods, for working with the GM Foundation on this grant.
"This will go a long way towards helping the neediest people in our area," Weighill said.
